i4 Data Mapping
The i4 Data Mapping is a standalone graphical tool designed to fulfill any data transformation needs and is callable through the i4 Studio. It allows the developer to prepare the data ingestion phase of the i4 App by connecting the source data formats with the target, internal to the i4 App, data format.
Also known as IDP (ICE Data Platform), with the Data Mapping the developers will be able to import data samples, fine-tune field formats (eg, dates, number precision) and filter any unneeded fields.
Having clear input and output schemas, developers can automatically map fields from end to end, using context aware reasoning embedded within the tool and powered by Neo4J.
For developing and using these maps, the developers need to have access and re-use the following i4FS elements:
- i4 Studio
- i4FS Marketplace
i4 Studio
The development of any i4 App starts with the access to the specific development IDE that i4FS provides. Inside the Studio, a direct access to the Data Mapping is provided to allow the developer to develop the transformation maps. Once these maps are ready, the Data Mapping allows to deploy them as standalone libraries.
i4FS Marketplace
These deployed libraries are then annotated, uploaded and published to the i4FS Marketplace so that they are accessible for being part of a i4 App.
