The first aspect to be improved is the failure diagnostic, in terms of quality and response times, in order to reduce engineering support operational costs and photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturing costs. This improvement can be achieved by adoption of new communication tools for data exchange. In a near future, the integration of prediction capabilities can provide greater advantage to these cross connected systems.

In the new process model, the main communication mean will be a collaborative platform, connected to the machine, able to notify the client that an error may occur or has already occurred. Failure Prevention

The objective of Failure Prevention is to automatically detect equipment maintenance or failure events by using data analysis algorithms. As a result, it triggers the appropriate monitoring process by sending notification alarms to the corresponding actors.

Failure Manager

The Failure Manager application main goal is to automatically register the failures of the Tabber Stringer machine in a production line by using several PLC data and notifying the users with an alarm when a failure is detected.

Stock Policies

The Stock Policies application main goal is to manage company spare-parts’ needs and stocks, and alert the staff when the stock is lower than a minimum defined for each spare-part.

Production Follow Up

The main objective of Production Follow Up is to calculate production KPI’s such as productivity, availability, performance, or quality of the Tabber Stringer and monitor these values.

Maintenance Calendar

The main aim of Maintenance Calendar is to schedule a maintenance calendar for the Tabber Stringer machine and support the communication of maintenance operations between MASS and its customers.
